Pros: AN ABSOLUTE GEM, BASSINETT, CHANGING TABLE, PLAYPEN, CRIB ALL IN ONE?
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Don't underestimate how sturdy and wonderful these new playpen/bassinets are for babies! They are beautiful, and sturdy, well-constructed, and travel well. A crib just does not do that. This is a great brand!
Look: It has a great look to it. They come in different backgrounds and colors. I have one that is navy and mint green.
Works: For baby girls or boys. Infants up to 20lbs in the bassinet (or six months), and babies up to 30 lbs in the playpen part, itself.
Space: They take up little space. If you are not using it, it is easy to fold up (by pulling a string from the bottom of the playpen, and then collapsing the sides.
Movability: It moves room to room by just "dragging" it because it has locking wheels. How awesome is that? If you have stairs, again, it is easy to fold down and take up the stairs. For traveling, it folds into a small bag if you wish, and stores in a small car trunk quite conveniently.
How it works: The bassinet is located at the top and securely put in place by clamping it onto the top of the playpen (this is in the easy-to-understand instruction booklet). The baby will sleep at the top until six month's of age. I find it to be VERY sturdy. There is an optional changing table that also snaps on the bottom of the bassinet area. I found the changing table useful ONLY if there is no other changing table around. This can be easily removed and stored and so can the bassinet when the baby outgrows it. I tend to use it as a CO-SLEEPER next to my bed (it feels similiar to a co-sleeper), I can just reach my arms over and feel my baby without moving out of bed (and yet the cost is so much cheaper than a co-sleeper). I believe the sides that are mesh are very durable, too. They do not snag like the older playpens used to. I found the mobile to be useless. It does not move or do anything, and it is not needed. Mine also came with a vibrator with music attachment. If yours does, too then you will be happy. That alone is worth upwards of $30, and works well to soothe the baby. It only takes a few AA batteries, and after 5 months, the batteries are still going strong. It also has a soft light on the musical vibrator attachment that can be easily turned on. It plays either a few naptime songs, or playtime songs depending on which button you choose. There is also a volume button. The music, vibrator, and optional light will turn off automatically after fifteen minutes.
I cannot believe they get away with such a great price for these. I cannot say enough about them, for sleeping, play, and naptime!
