Pros: I am sitting here trying to think of a pro because I hate it when I read that someone cannot find one good thing to say about a product, but I guess I have to become one of those people because I honestly cannot think of a pro! I am sorry!
Cons: PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Need I say more?

| tyjmsmith's Full Review: Evenflo Breast Pump Kit Press and Pump Battery/Ele... |
I used this pump with both of my girls. I had not yet discovered Epinions when I was breastfeeding, so I just automatically assumed that pumping=pain! If I had known about Epinions, I would have known that this is not true, that there are better pumps out there! And I probably could still be breastfeeding, or at least feeding my daughters breast milk.
I quit breastfeeding after 1 month with my first daughter and after 3 weeks with my second. I had this pump with both of them and could not get but a few drops out at a time! It hurt so very bad!!
My sister borrowed this pump in between me having babies and she was able to use this pump to express milk, though. So I wanted to try it again the second time around. I felt like such a failure! I could not use this pump!
My baby was jaundiced and she HAD to eat. I couldn't pump, nor could I handle having my baby latched on all the time. My nipples were bleeding, very sore and I had my husband yelling at me that this is how it is supposed to work!! I was just sitting there crying because my baby needs her milk, I am in pain and I should be able to tolerate the pain because it would be for my daughter!
He got mad at me for being such a "wuss" and tried to jerk the pump off my breast without releasing the suction! I, of course, screamed bloody murder!! I don't think he did that on purpose, maybe he just did not remember that there is a suction release button on the pump. We got into an argument and I, again, felt like I had failed as a mother.
I truly wish I had known there were better pumps out there. But I really did not want to spend another $40 on a pump and then have it do the same thing to me. I did not know that all pumps were not as painful as this one.
This pump is now sitting in a box of stuff that is supposed to be for the next baby, my sister's baby (she's not pregnant, I just want her to have the baby stuff after I'm done for if she gets pregnant), not mine. But I do believe I will be tossing this into the trash!
I now know that I am not to blame for quitting breastfeeding. This pump takes at least 75% of the blame! Needless to say, I do not recommend this pump! Please read other member's reviews of other pumps to choose a better one. GOOD LUCK!
