Placement of Cozy within this carseat name isn’t mere happenstance! Baby is comfortable and parents/caregivers know the seat offers safety features. The Evenflo Cozy Carry 5 Comfort Touch Infant Car Seat is intended for infants only and must receive rear-facing installation. This seat is part of the Cozy Carry line up that is taking the place of the On My Way infant seats. This seat offers incredible improvement over previous models from Evenflo and provides security I desire for toting baby. I still prefer the Britax Roundabout (http://www.epinions.com/content_63731568260) but highly recommend this Evenflo seat for the portability purpose and I am comfortable with the safety factors offered. We currently own and have disposed of multiple carseats, yet this particular seat appears to combat previous safety concerns I had with regard to portable seat unit’s intended for use with newborns/infants.

The 5-point Harness – Child is secured in 5 regions ~ Both legs, Shoulders, & Crotch – contributed to my purchase decision and the stay put base confirmed purchase desire. I like the aesthetics of this seat but am most impressed by possible safety offerings.
This seat has features that allow for proper installation in your vehicle and proper positioning of the infant. An infinite adjust base system allows for proper angling of passenger and equates to safety and comfort. This seat is superior in safety offering and is LATCH compatible. The LATCH/ISOFIX system isn’t included in initial purchase but the seat base is configured to receive the hook mechanism. I adore the angle indicator for the premise of guiding proper installation in your vehicle. Without proper install no child seat will offer optimum performance so please, please, please read the directions and consider attending a local carseat installation seminar. You receive an easy use base with this seat purchase. This feature offers the convenience of properly installing the base once while snapping the Evenflo Cozy Carry 5 Comfort Touch Infant Car Seat into place and removing for trips inside the home, the store, and other errands. Right here is the very feature that contributes to me justifying ownership of this infant seat and the Britax Roundabout. I don’t like waking a precious sleeping baby to tote them into the home and finally the Evenflo Cozy Carry 5 Comfort Touch Infant Car Seat offers a palatable option. Although the ‘click’ that occurs when pushing the seat onto the base might startle some babies, most will dooze back to blissful splendor. I also like the fact that this seat fits onto shopping carts. I have never been a fan of using the ones provided by the stores.

The one element I feel slightly disappointed in stems from harness adjustment. I truly adore the pull string adjustment offered on the Britax and feel it allows for easier adjustment of harness position. Although this seat offers a fairly simple adjustment mechanism, the Britax surpasses it easily. The Evenflo Cozy Carry 5 Comfort Touch Infant Car Seat has 3 harness slot allocations. The lowest position is realistically positioned for the small newborn and the next two allow this seat to accommodate infant’s newborn through 22 pounds. Please make pay attentive care when choosing harness setting. The harness needs to be at or below the shoulders. Choose the proper position and please readjust as baby grows.
The molded, rubberized handle is ergonomically designed, has three positions: carrying, traveling and feeding and is adjusted without need of trigger depression. After a small get acquainted period this feature became a pro feature. Perhaps my petite structure (5’1”) contributes to my preference of carrying this seat over my arm versus grasping the handle. My husband prefers carrying via the handle configuration, as does my qualified assistant.
Attention to detail on this seat is impressive. I am thankful that manufacturers include the padding options. I remember back to infanthood days with my oldest when we had to resort to rolled receiving blankets and such. Later the luxury of padding was an added expense. Kudos to Evenflo for attention to design!
Fabric pattern is subtle and pleasing to men and women. Also, it detracts minor stains. The canopy works well although has required frequent repositioning (sidetrack bar comes out, not a safety concern just annoying). This feature allows for baby to be shaded from sunbeams and also aids to the snuggly environment yearned by young babies.
Overall I am pleased with the Evenflo Cozy Carry 5 Comfort Touch Infant Car Seat and highly recommend it for those desiring a safe, yet portable, infant seat option. Generally speaking you will be able to purchase this seat for approximately $70.00
