| joy-green's Full Review: Evenflo Glass Nurser |
I am concerned about plastics and xenoestrogens in my baby's life. Baby bottles are particularly worrisome since they are refrigerated and heated. These glass bottles are wonderful, and completely safe. I haven't had any break. While I would never leave my baby alone with a glass bottle, at 4 months, she enjoys holding it up with minimal assistance. As a little extra perk, they are aesthetically pleasing.
One tip: The nipples that come with them are useless. They have a terrible rubber smell. Evenflo makes the same ones in silicone, and they work pretty well but tend to collapse with vigorous sucking. Removing it from the baby's mouth for a second solves this. Alternatively, if you happen to have Dr. Brown bottles as well, the inserts from the 4 oz. (without the tube but with the yellow bit) fit and work perfectly on the 4 oz. Evenflo. Perhaps the 8 oz. will take the tube too.
