I love this high chair! We bought it at Toys R Us for $69 a few years ago when my son was a baby and he is STILL using it. Now it has been converted to the table and chair position and he eats lunch at it, colors or does little art projects at it. Sometimes he just sits at it to watch his videos. I think he feels "bigger" with his own place to sit and eat without the height of a regular dining room table to reduce him to a little guy lol!
More about this high chair. It is for babies ages 6 months and up, as long as they can sit up on their own and has a nice padded high back seat. The pad usually comes in various colorful designs. The seat has an adjustable strap, but the strap is alittle too long so you may have to shorten it like we did.
As a high chair, their are two height positions. The table, set on one end is at a height that you can feed the baby at. Flip the table over end and then it is at a great height to slide up to the table when the family is eating. The tray is very wide and has a wonderful surface that is easy to keep clean and new looking. Ours is a "marbled" grey and it resists staining when baby eats those messy foods like spaghetti, and other messy foods. I cleaned it with a little baking soda afterward and the tray still looks like new 3 yrs later!
Once your child reaches the age of about 18 months or age 2, you can then take the chair out of the base and use it for a table and chair for them. It also has indented storage areas in the tabletop for their cup, crayons, snacks etc. My son is 3 1/2 and he loves his own table and chair! I put the tray up in the closet, removed the easily replaceable strap and whenever he gets too old for the table/chair, I can easily resell it for probably $25 or $30. If my son ever lets it go that is!
