| stephs69camaro's Full Review: Evenflo Phases Playtop Multi-Use |
The Evenflo Phases Highchair was very appealing to me when I was pregnant. I was quick to put it on my registry. It starts out as a sort of stand that you can put an Evenflo On My Way infant carrier into. The carrier snaps right on top of it. It then becomes a highchair, then a booster seat, and then finally a desk and chair for your toddler.
I found that I hardly used used it when my daughter was in her infant carrier. It wasn't very easily aligned with the stand and getting it out of the stand with the diaper bag and keys proved to be interesting. It did come in handy when my daughter first started solid foods, but wasn't quite ready for the high back on the high chair.
The high chair has a large tray that is wonderful for containing messes, but it is hard to slide and requires both hands. The high back seat is nice and padded with a vinyl material that is easy to clean. It has two height adjustments, but it does not tilt back for younger infants as do other high chairs in its price range. I cannot imagine using it as a booster seat. The seat is very large. That is another downsize to the whole high chair. It is massive in size.
I have not converted mine to the desk & chair set yet, but I'm sure that the Looney Tunes print will be a big hit with my daughter. Another cute accessory on the Looney Tunes version is that it has a "rubbing toy" where your child can make rubbings of the Looney Tunes characters. It also has a smooth writing surface on the desk and a Lego (or similar type) block playing surface. I appreciate this option because the highchair will be used for a lot longer than conventional high chairs.
