Pros: Easy to adjust & recline
Cons: Straps do NOT remove for washing. Design flaw:allows child to destroy head padding.
This seat was by far - the easiest carseat to adjust (tighten / loosen) I had ever owned. I loved that I could recline the seat while the child was sleeping & they didn't wake up.
It WAS my favorite carseat - no longer my favorite - several reasons. Mainly: since my child had Rotavirus & threw up all over the straps on the carseat. My child was hospitalized & because of complications, we nearly lost him. The Dr's said to wash his carseat & anything that he had contact with / vomited, etc on.... as the virus will live for weeks on end on surfaces & he stood to pick it up again (as his body hasn't rebounded as quick).
Secondary: the design allows the child to reach behind their head & destroy & remove the foam padding. Evenflo did a recall - NOT for this part - (my sister bought this same carseat at the same time, as we researched them together.... & her child has destroyed the exact same areas as mine! - The areas NOT under recall....)
Anyway... back to the "Main Reason": I immediately took the cover off & washed it.... fought & fought to get the straps out to wash - THEY AREN'T REMOVABLE! I had to THROW OUT his Triumph carseat!!!
I was beside myself!
So, on top of the exorbitant hospital bills, I now am in the quandry of finding & purchasing a NEW carseat with REMOVABLE straps.
