Re: Everclear NOT a Vodka (Reply to this comment)

Out of curiosity, what is the difference? That link doesn't really say.

I have a bottle of Grey Goose vodka in front of me, and on the bottle it says "Distilled from grain"

So what is the difference between 'grain alcohol' and 'alcohol distilled from grain' (vodka)?

Everclear also says 'distilled from 100% selected grains'. I'm really having a hard time understanding how you can claim it is not a vodka, other than that Luxco puts it in a separate category from their other products.

Everclear NOT a Vodka (Reply to this comment)

I enjoyed your review as it brought back memories of my own Everclear endeavors! Most of them with the same results as yours! LOL. The only thing in your review I would strongly disagree with is your statement that Everclear is basically a high proof Vodka. This is simply not true and really should not be printed as such in a shoppers "guide" here is a link to how Vodka is made, in this case the awesomely refined Absolut Vodka http://absolutad.com/absolut_about/history/made/
Hope this clears up some misconceptions you seem to carry for Vodka.

of the year 2000. I guess it wasn't too funny the next day, but I chuckled through it. That's a drink to steer clear of, indeed.

I guess you only need to try it once. The vast majority do not mess with it again. Thank you for reading.

Yes, I read your review after I submitted mine. It was very eerie not being able to remember anything. It says a lot for its potency.

My friend and I still poke at each other about our experience, lol.

Definitely! That's what I always used to look for in my Vodka. Taste and distinction! ROFL!

Best Regards,

Rudi

(Taste and distinction, that's a good one. Gonna have to remember that)

How I DONT miss thee. ahhah
I had an experience much like everyone else. It is actually illegal in my state (Massachusetts) and a friend of mine brought it up to me from Maryland. I have a video of me taking a shot of it and if I ever feel the need to do so again I simply watch lol

Thanks for the review!

For your participation and nice comments! I have lived through the Everclear experience myself and I don't plan to repeat it. I really can't see the point of drinking something that is basically pure alcohol. Even a cheap vodka at least has some taste and distinction.

I hope you enjoyed reliving the memories!
