Are you selective when you choose a dog food? If not, you really need to be and I say that because the bulk of the dog foods sold in a typical supermarket are very low in quality. This is why many dog owners refuse to buy dog food at the grocery store and instead head to a local pet store. And one of the better foods you will find when you get there is Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food.

Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food is a very good dry dog food that most people have likely never heard of. It is one of the better dog foods available, mainly due to the superior list of ingredients that include more meats than other brands and less of the fillers and artificial colors common to so many dog foods-especially those sold in your local grocery store.
Like many dog owners, I am concerned about what goes into my dog’s stomach and I am not impressed at all with the majority of dog foods sold in the grocery store. Take a close look at the ingredients in some of these grocery store dog food brands and you will see a list that includes meat by- products, grains, dyes, and all sorts of other things known to be detrimental to a dog’s good health. An occasional serving of dog food such as this is okay, but you wouldn’t want to feed your best friend foods like this on a regular basis. You should always look for dog food with a higher quality rating and Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food is certainly a food that passes the test. It contains real chicken, fish, several different vegetables, and many other good ingredients that aid in a dog’s good health.
Now, to be fair, there are a few ingredients in Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food that are less than ideal and they would include the dried beet pulp, salt, brewer’s dried yeast, and a few others. These are questionable additives that some dog experts suspect may be damaging to certain organs of a dog over time. But the evidence against these ingredients is inconclusive and there are so few of these bad ingredients in Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food that it shouldn’t be anything to worry about.
Ingredients make the dog food in my book, but don’t tell that to my young pooch. In his mind, taste is what matters and Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food does pass his taste test. He doesn’t devour this dog food like he does certain others, but he does like what he is eating and doesn’t need any persuasion to eat. I remember when I purchased a small, 7.5 pound bag of this food for my dog to try. I was concerned that I might have wasted my money, but my dog quickly erased any concerns I had when he slowly but then more surely started to eat all the food in his bowl.
Quality dog food is expected to carry a premium price tag and Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food is no different. It retails for a price of about $1.30 per pound, so it is quite a bit more expensive than that bag of Alpo you purchased last week. One annoying fact for consumers is that Evolve doesn’t give much of a discount when you purchase a larger size. You pay only a few cents less per unit of weight as you go up from 7.5 pound, to 15 pound, to 30 pound container.
Overall, I consider Evolve Maintenance Dry Dog Food one of the better dog foods on the market and a product with far superior ingredients compared to the average. This product is not only better than most store dog foods, the manufacturer sometimes sells it in certain grocery chains, making it more convenient to purchase. It adds up to a very good dog food that is worth considering if you care about your dog’s overall good health.
