The Bottom Line: If you are looking for accuracy and ease of use, you won't be disappointed in this purchase. Throw out the ear thermometers!

I cannot rave enough about this thermometer. My only complaint is that I did not find it sooner. It is a really great product. This comes with a cap to cover and protect thr probe, but no carrying case. I have not had an issue with placement of the probe to get an accurate reading - just swipe the probe across the middle of the forehead from hairline to hairline while depressing the button. How much easier can it be?! If the child's or adult's forehead is moist, just keep depressing the button and move the probe behind the earlobe and place on the neck for a second. Doing this ensures you will get an accurate temperature reading. This feature is helpful for when the forehead is sweaty from fever. Overall a couple seconds is all it takes to get a reading, and you know you are getting accurate results! If you are tired of getting several different readings from the typical ear thermometer, or if you hate taking rectal temps on your child - this IS the thermomter for your family needs!
