I found this product to be unreliable and untrustworthy. Temperature readings would very too greatly from one moment to the next. I was extremely careful to use the device (as close to) exactly the same way (as humanly possible) every time I used it BECAUSE the readings were so different.
During my child’s last illness readings were wildly different and frightening. Two back to back readings, in the same location (behind the (same) ear lobe) were 105.3 and 101.2. One meant that I needed to take my child to the hospital, and the other meant that he just needed lots of TLC and fever reducer. I can not trust this product and feel as though I wasted the nearly $40 that I spent on it.
