Pros: Quick and simple. Great concept if it worked.
Cons: Not completely accurate, pricey.
The Bottom Line: When it comes down to your sick child know the correct temperature is priceless. This thermometer doesn't deliver.

I think I would be okay with using this for an adult but not an infant or toddler. I bought it for my son when he was born and thank goodness he hasn't had a fever yet and he is 7 months. I tried this out several times on myself and hubby and each time got a different reading. Not anything dramatically different but different none the less and I would be very skeptical to trust it for a sick child. When it comes to our precious little ones, every degree counts. It is a little difficult to use in the way you have to hold the button in and scan across the forehead. It's a little awkward. It is a great concept, I just think it needs to be improved upon.
The pluses are that it is a quick read if your just wanted to know if a person has a fever and if you are not worried about the exact temperature. For example, I ran it across my forehead three time just now and I got a reading of 98.7, 98.9 and 97.6? I am not really happy with its' accuracy. I'm trying to find the pros about this such as it is so fast and simple but what does that count for if the bottomline is it doesn't do what it is intended for and that is give you an accurate reading of your temperature. It is quite pricey at 34.99 at Walmart and 49.99 at Babies R Us. I think I will stick with a good old 4.99 digital thermometer!
