A great beer with friends or a meal

spfcx's Full Review: Eye of Hawk Select Ale
This beer is served at a local restaurant, which boasts 160 beers on tap. Out of all of those, this is one of my favorites. It is fairly high in alcohol content, so it is not the best beer for a hard night of drinking, but is a great accompaniment with a meal or a casual social outing.
It is an ale, so it is somewhat dark, but it is not real heavy and sits very well.
Mendocino beers are not widely available, but look for it at beer pubs and select food stores (like Top Foods). If you are used to light beers and standard domestics, this beer may not be for you. If you like a beer with some body and flavor then I suggest Mendocino Eye of the Hawk Select Ale.
