Pros:Fun game play good replay value
Cons:??
The Bottom Line: A very fun RPG that has fun game play and good replay value I reccomend this game

Fable is a role playing game developed by Big Blue Box that takes place In a world called Albion, you play as a boy that must grow to a fierce Legend. The game starts you as a boy in Oakfield, this is were you grew up with your family. You must go and get some gifts for your sister and meet her. But when you meet her Bandits come and raid the town. Oakfield is ravaged and shown no mercy. You are the only surviver, Mazea hero, comes and finds the boy which is the only survivor besides his sister that was kidnapped. Maze takes you to the Guild of Heros, where the boy learns fighting skills, and spell, skills. Eventually he becomes famous and joins the Arena where he finds some secrets about his mother and his heritage. In Fable you must grow to be a Good Hero, A Evil Hero, or a little of both.

Fable is a xbox game so the graphics aren't that good. Besides this FAble is a open world game so they need to focus on the game play rather than the graphics. For xbox Fable's graphics are still not that great, some 64 games have the same graphic quality. Most characters and objects are in a "blotchy form" having a squarish appearance to things. The scenery is not that bad for an xbox game. Your hero may move some small blotches when there is a lot going on. There are some glitches that will cause you to get stuck as well. Sometimes when the system first loads the new map your in it will take some time before all the walls and enemies appear, up to 5 seconds. The game engine runs fairly smooth as far as how your hero moves, depending on what he's doing. Some big spells and combos go into good detail when your showing your might.

The sound quality, well it has sound. The music for this game is based on the time of the king days. Personally the music drives me nuts ad I just played the radio over the game. As far as sound quality for fighting it stands pretty good as well. The voices for Hero's could of been done with a little more enthusiasm. Many voices have a lame expression to them. Each spell has a different spell noise to go with it not the same for 3 or 4 different spells.

I think that the game play in this game is very fun, this is what makes Fable so fun. In Fable you have  a 3rd person view. There are many oprions for you to do in this game. In Fable you must level up your stats as well as your spells. You gain experience from doing quests killing enemies boasts, boasts is a option that you can choose before you engage a quest after you choose it. You go on a platform and say things like, you'll do the quest in your underwear, kill so many enemies, choose achievements there are many other choices as well. The way you level up is simple. You go to a room in the Guild of Hero's were you can choose where your experiences goes. You must level up to choose stronger stats and stronger spells. You have 4types of experience as well. General points that you can spend on any ability you choose, Strength for your hero's hit points and damage etc. Skill which goes to sneak, trade, and taunts. Then comes will, this is spell ability's points. You also must level up for the use of better weapons and armour as well. Fable also has many objects you can destroy to find goody's as well. Then the shopping options, buy weapons, food, potions, tattoos, gamble, choose a new name to be known by, get a hair cut, and many other merchandise as well. If you spend some time trading to shops you can find it to be very profitable.

One of the options in Fable is to be a home owner, this means you can buy houses and shops. Shops can be bought to generate your income, you can also rent out houses to generate income as well. In your home you can use this to sleep, save, buy furniture, place trophies, rent out, or have a wife which you must convince to Mary you in which you may have up to one wife per town. There is also the option to have sex with your wife, which is very cheesy. You must get her so many gifts, and get her in a romantic mood with your romance taunts. When accepted the screen turns black and you here these cheesy moaning sounds. This happens for between5 and 10 seconds.

There are many different Hero stats in Fable as well. You have the option of maintaining your hero's weight. This is based on how much you get drunk, what you eat, how often you eat, or how active you are. You have a drinking tolerance that depends on how often you get drunk. There is a sex appeal, as well as scary, or friendly appeals as well. There are many other side things to do but you have to find out the rest for yourself.

Overall I think this is a good game even for how old it is. I still play this for several hours time to time I think Fable has good play value to it. Complete the game as a Good then a Evil Hero. If your into RPG and 3rd person games this would be a blast. I think this is sutable for kids 13 and up. Considering what kids here in school everyday it does'nt relly matter these days.
