I put these on my 2003 accord ex in Nov 2005 (205/60 HR16) replacing OEM Michelin MXV4 Energy. I was not looking for the greatest performance, just an all season good in all categories at a fair price. I saw some good reviews here for this tire and gave them a shot. Also Consumer Reports Nov 2003 issue rated these the highest in the performance category which put me at ease. The Michelin's were downright dangerous in wet and snow after 30K miles...even with 6/32 tread left.
In my opinion, after an average winter in upstate NY, they handle better then the Michelins brand new did in the snow. Anyone who says these are bad in the snow most likely doesn't know how to drive in the white stuff. I got them at Sears for the set installed for $340 which I think was a very good deal for a H rated tire that size. The performance is adequate..it's the trade off you are going to get for the plusses for snow and rain handling in an all-season. Don't compare these to tires costing twice the price for performance...it's unfair. But if you live in an area that gets snow and don't use snow tires, I think this is a solid choice.
The wear has been pretty good over the first 10K miles on the accord.
I feel these are a great "bang for your buck" tire that I put them on our 2000 Miata recently. Set of 4 P185 60HR14's installed cost less then $300 after tax at Sears. We don't drive the Miata in the winter, but I feel the rain handling, price, and wear made this a good pairing for that car.
