| ktharris's Full Review: Farberware Classic Series Cookware Sets |
My set of Farberware was given to me as a Bridal Shower gift almost 20 years ago. In that time, those pots have done more cooking than I care to imagine. They have cooked many, many meals and suffered through many, many cleanings. They have been banged around, thrown into the dishwasher, scraped with metal utensils and scrubbed with Brillo. I have used these pots as mixing bowls. I can't tell you how many times I have mashed potatoes with my electric mixer in these pots. Most importantly, these pots have made it through the use and abuse of four children......yes, all my children have enjoyed using these pots as drums and their lids as cymbals!!! For some reason all four of them, discovered what lovely music these pots make when turned over and banged on with a large metal serving spoon!
Seriously, I would highly recommend these pots to anyone. They are extremely durable. Clean up has never been a problem for me. After 20 years, mine still look almost new. Food heats very evenly in these pots. I rarely have a problem with burning. I love the nice tight fitting lids. I often am able to store leftovers right in the pot. The handles on these pans stay very cool.
I use my farberware for just about everything. I keep a set of "cheaper" non stick skillets for frying things like eggs and bacon. But, other than that, Farberware is the pot I reach for every time!
