I bought more Farberware after using what little I had because I knew it wasn't just a "flash in the pan" (do excuse that sad pun!) kind of cookware. I know there are plenty of new, high-end cookware sets available all the time but I didn't want to be replacing pans every year with a "shinier" set. I like the weight of Farberware, it cleans up very nicely and is a good, basic (better than basic!) set of cookware. It seems to be of a heavy enough gauge of stainless steel so that an occasional "burn" won't be permanently marked in the bottom of the pan. Wait for a good sale and buy a set (though I feel the price is good), it'll serve you well and last a long time, given proper care, i.e., don't wash the pans in the dishwasher. I don't like nonstick surfaces on cookware, as I simply don't feel comfortable with the idea it might someday peel off and end up in my food, and I don't really know what all that coating is anyway!
