Pros:Great pans that don't stick
The Bottom Line: Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans are great in many ways but do have one major flaw!
My mother gave me a set of three Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans in different sizes for Christmas this past year. She said she had found a great deal on Ebay . However these were a gift to me so I did not ask her about the price, as I feel that would have been a little bit inappropriate. My mother knew I needed new frying pans. I mentioned buying them when money was not so tight after the holidays. I am glad she beat me to it and got me these as a gift. Although they do have their ups and downs.

Details and facts:
In my set that I was given by my mother there are three sizes of pans. The first one is an 8 inch pan, followed by a 10 inch pan and ended with a 12 inch pan. The three fit right inside of each other. They even came packaged that way.
These pans are non stick pans. They are aluminum and then have a real chrome handle on them. The insides of each pan are deep black. The ends of the handles do have holes in them. This is great if you want to hang them on a pan rack of some sort. I do not have one but I can imagine they would look good. Chrome goes with just about anything really.
The Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans feature a nonstick coating inside and out side which makes it very easy to remove food and clean the pans when you are done cooking with them, even what looks like burnt on food, slides off with ease. They claim to have riveted handles that can stay cool while your cooking and when you remove them I have a complaint against this claim that I will get to in my thoughts section below. These pans are over safe to 350 degrees. I have never put a frying pan in the oven in my life so I can't attest to how well this will work.
I have used the various sized frying pan according to how much food I was making. For crepe I like the 8 inch best because it makes them at the perfect size with out running off at the sides. However, I use all three according to food portion size that I am cooking, and have used them for frying eggs, making pan cakes, hamburgers, chicken breast strips, fried onions, perogies, scrambled eggs, sausage and peppers and a whole lot more. They all get daily and or weekly use depending on what I need them for. But it is very frequent use with all three.
Washing the Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans is very simple. They are dishwasher safe. But I do not have one so I wash them by hand. I just wash them with a sponge and soapy water. But you do not have to scrub like I had to with my old pans. These are nonstick and the food pretty much runs off them under the water before you even hit it with the sponge!
My thoughts and recommendation:
The Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans have been great for the most part. The nonstick feature is my favorite and it truly does it's job as far as that is concerned. The pans are all level, none are warped in any was so the food stays in place and cooks at the same time and temperature the way they should.
As far as the handles not getting hot. You should be aware that the handles do in fact get hot. They get very hot. It is llike sicking you hand inside of the pan if you have had it on the stove for a while. I would seriously recommend wearing an oven glove or using a pot hold or towel to remove the hot pan from the stove. For me the handles being hot was the only flaw these pans had. But that is a big flaw.
I am still glad that my mother gave me the Farberware nonstick aluminum frying pans because even though th handles get hot I love how well they cook the food, and more importantly how easy they are to maintain. I have three kids to chase around. I used to have to scrub my old pans for 20 minutes just to get the grease and grime off of them after cooking. So over all these turned out to be very good pans. They are built to last and very sturdy. They are semi heavy and hold well on my stove. I would recommend them, yet recommend wearing the oven glove or a pot holder for safety.
