Farberware has a reputation for great products, so naturally, when I needed an electric coffee pot I purchased a Farberware coffee pot. However, I was terribly disappointed with this machine.
It would have been a great coffee maker as it was durable, easy to use, and boiled quickly. However, the coffee tasted metalic. So I cleaned it out... three times. When that failed I tried everything to fix the terrible taste from boiling numerous pots of water (figuring it would go away eventually) to running vinegar through the coffee pot (I heard it would help). Baking soda was also useless as were an number of other recommended remedies. The coffee was undrinkable. I was horribly disappointed by this product. I do not recommend this coffee pot and actually have been actively advising people to avoid it.
