| bsu835's Full Review: Farberware FCP512S 12-Cup Coffee Maker |
My first coffee maker was a Farberware Percolator. I used it for 20 years before I dropped it on the floor and broke the base, and then continued to use it for another year. I felt it was time to put it in the yard sale and get another.
This time I chose a drip maker. Eventually the pot and filter became stained. The coffee sometimes would burn when it sat on the burner for extended periods of time.
I recently ordered another Farberware percolator just like the one in the picture. When it arrived I immediately took it out of the package. At that moment I knew I would always have a Farberware percolator. It has a beautiful finish that compliments any counter in any kitchen. The clean up is easy and I truly think perked coffee is superior to drip coffee. The brewing time is a minute per cup. This new model has a timer which can be set, and used simply as a clock. Having coffee brewing when you wake is always an option. No need to worry about constantly connecting the cord. This model has an electric base that perks the coffee when the pot is stored on it.
I rate this percolator "5" for superior quality, look, and the product it produces. A single person may want to look at a smaller percolator by Farberware. I know they manufacture one which makes 2-4 cups.
