I had forgotten my laptop at home, but since I was filling in for someone else that day, it really didn't matter too much. I just used his computer. Our company is very big on ergonomic desk designed so his computer set-up includes the Fellowes Crystal Mouse Mat Pad with Wrist Rest Gel.

What You Get
The entire Fellowes Crystal Mouse Mat Pad with Wrist Rest Gel is about 6" square. The mouse tracking surface is about 4" X 6" with the wrist rest being about 2" X 6" and a little over 1" high. The mouse pad is available in red, blue and purple.
I'm glad that I don't have to use his computer on a regular basis. I would probably have been a lot more comfortable with my laptop in my lap than using the mouse with the Fellowes Crystal Mouse Mat Pad with Wrist Rest Gel.
The first and most annoying thing I discovered is that the mouse pad itself is too small. To work the bottom of the monitor I have to pull my hand back so not my wrist but the palm of my hand is on the wrist pad. That causes my hand to tilt down at an uncomfortable angle. When I go to use the menus at the top of the screen the mouse actually bumps up against the rim of the mouse pad, so I have to pick up the mouse and move it back to give me more space to access the top of the screen. No matter where I set the mouse, If I want to keep my wrist on the wrist pad, there isn't enough space on the mouse pad for me to navigate the entire screen. Also, the rim the stops the mouse from moving freely creates a groove around the mouse pad that really accumulates dirt.
While the gel wrist pad is soft and suppotive, I found it to be a little higher than was comfortable for my hand. The gel area was also a little sticky so my wrist stuck to the rubbery surface. I can imgaine that it could be uncomfortable during warmer months. However, one nice "sticky" feature is the rubberized back that really stuck well to the smooth genuine imitation wood desk. The mouse pad did not slide at all, which is more than I can say for the one I normally use at work.
With its too small surface for the mouse and a wrist rest that was too high for me, I was glad that I only had to use the Fellowes Crystal Mouse Mat Pad with Wrist Rest Gel for one day. The small size of the pad is enough for me not to recommend this mouse pad to anyone.
