I like this little guitar a lot. In fact I liked the "feel" and sound of it so much that I decided to take it to my local guitar guru and have him fix it.
First, the bad thing. After one month of ownership, and my first string change, I had a "locked" tuner (D string) that would only tighten so far and then "lock" so tuning could not be achieved. But I was not discouraged at all. I'd had one full month with the factory strings and time enough to discover that I really liked this guitar a lot.
I took it to the my local guitar guru, Darren Riley's Guitar and Amp Shop in Raleigh NC, and was told the tuner was defective and that he would replace it free under Fender's warranty. I decided to replace all the vintage (cheap) tuners with top of the line Fender Vintage Kluson Gold machine heads. He told me the bridge was "a fine bridge" so I decided I'd keep it although I had him lock it down and do his magic with a professional overall "set-up".
Bottom line: This turned out to be a fine guitar for me. I play much more rythym than lead hence the locked down bridge; and now it feels real "solid" and does not go out of tune, at all, ever! And of course, top of the line tuners are a must (in my opinion) on ANY guitar.
Other than that all I can tell you is this is a fine, fine guitar for the price. It does everything I ask it to - sound-wise - with the styles of music I play: R&B, Blues, Country/Rock, Classic Rock and (to my way of thinking) it plays like a classic (American) Strat. (i.e. glassy neck feel, 9.5 radius neck, med. jumbo frets, body hugger, etc. etc.) The push-push button along with the "normal" five postion switch is just frosting on the cake.
(Note to Fender in Mexico: put some decent machine tuners on this thing, raise the price $50.00 and never look back).
I hope my input helps with your guitar buying decisions.
