I am always on the lookout for a nice cinnamon candy as this is my absolute favorite flavor and they seem to work well when the mind needs some stimulation. Ferrara Pan makes a few cinnamon candies and is probably most known for their Atomic Fireballs. While at the store recently, I found a product that was a variation of these cinnamon balls. The product that I located was the Ferrara Pan Chewy Atomic Fireball Candy.

I was happy to see this modification to their popular treat as the balls have approximately the same diameter and can be a little big inside the mouth. When I desire a sweet treat I prefer something that does not need to be in the mouth for a long time and is a quick fix. The Ferrara Pan Chewy Atomic Fireball Candy are noticeable smaller being a little larger than a pencil eraser but still in red ball shape. The most dramatic change would be that it is chewable rather a hard candy that is intended to be sucked.
The outer shell of the Ferrara Pan Chewy Atomic Fireball Candy is made of a soft sugary compound that is easy to bite into. The inside is made of a softer sugary mix that is well contained inside the shell. The outside portion of the candy packs a nice "pow" to it while the inside gives a nice follow-up flavor. There is a strong cinnamon flavor that I find to be the strongest of any other candy that I have had. After one piece, this small ball had my full attention. The box has a warning that it is extremely hot and has a caution symbol for it; this is not just for marketing! If eating these candies, I highly recommend having a glass of water nearby.
One serving of Ferrara Pan Chewy Atomic Fireball Candy is made up of 26 pieces. I really don't think it is possible to have this many in one seating due to the extreme heat level of the flavor. Each serving contains 150 calories of which zero are from fat. Based on a 2,000 calorie diet, this product is not a significant source of dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron. This product does not contain any fat (saturated or trans), no cholesterol, sodium or protein. It does contain 38 grams of carbs that make of 13% of the recommended daily value and 29 grams of sugar.
Ingredients: Sucrose, Corn Syrup, Modified Food Starch, Artificial Flavor, Gum Acacia, Confectioner's Glaze, Beeswax, Carnauba Wax, Red 40 and Blue 1.
Overall, Ferrara Pan Chewy Atomic Fireball Candy is a nice candy if you prefer a strong cinnamon flavor. This variety will catch your attention and keep your mouth burning. I would not recommend this candy for a child as it is smaller and can be choked on. In addition, a child may be overwhelmed by the strength of the flavor. I have seen these candies at a few stores but not as frequently as some of Ferrara Pan's other products.
