HomeMediaBooksChuck Palahniuk - Fight Club: A Novel
Opinion Summary
Bloody knuckles, Fascist carnage, and testicular cancer.
by Donlee_Brussel | Oct 06 '00
Pros: Chuck Palahniuk knows how to depict a dark future of the world with black humor, white-knuckle suspense, pithy observations, and ingenius plot twists.
Cons: Some of the things in here are in bad taste, such as Marla Singer's mother.

Good Review, Donlee! Loved the film and now you've convinced me to actually read the book. I've been in the bookstore like, say, seven times, and picked it up...only to put it back. Next time I'll actually take it to the damned clerk and bring it home and read it!

Thanks,

Guess it proves we both have good taste. We've gotta stop meeting like this. Go buy the book and send it to me.

How else would you get an average white woman in an average job to leave her average house to buy a book she in which she had no interest? By piquing the average mind out of its mold and making it stretch a little. Gotta see what this is about.

Hey, tang, fancy meeting you here!

Seeing the film made me want to read the book. Then I was glad that I did for all the reasons you spoke of. Not to discount the film, but the book IS a must read.

Nice work!
