Squaresoft at it's best!

Pros:Wounderful characters and game play
Cons:It was a little like Final Fantasy 3 in some places.

First let me tell you I am an old Squaresoft fan. From the days of Final Fantasy 2 to Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 3, & Super Mario RPG.( Yes, Squaresoft did a Mario RPG, and it was very good too I might add.) The days of Super Nintendo.
I now have the Final Fantasy Anthology, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Xenogears, and when it comes out I'll have Chrono Cross. These are all games for the Playstation.

Needless to say I am an old Squaresoft fan.

I love the plot to this game. I love the game play. But my favorite by Far is Sephiroth. Final Fantasy 8's Eda has nothing on Sephiroth in my book. As Dot on Animaniac's would say,"Hello Nurse!"

BUT the game is alot like an old favorite of mine. Final Fantasy 3.

Let me make my argument then you decide. I do like the smooth animation, the wounderful movies and the plot is great. That's not what I'm going to get at, it's just a lot of things from Final Fantasy 3 are the same as in Final Fantasy 7.

For 1: In Final Fantasy 3 the main villin the Empiral Lord is seen with a
very smart mouthed and bad tempered character called Kefka.
Some scenes of this charater is seen with him laughing like a loon. Ok, we know now the man is crazy.

Ok. Final Fantasy 7, almost same deal except we're faced with the evil Shinra president to fight.

2: When you finally get a chance to fight the evil Emperor; Kefka kills him off by tossing him off the cliff.

Final Fantasy 7, when you finally get to fight the evil Shinra president Sephiroth had already killed him with his sword. Diffrent style same idea.

3: Final Fantasy 3 a Wepon is flying around the world and you have to chase after it to destroy it.

Final Fantasy 7, same dang thing. Except the Wepon is a lot harder to catch and try to kill. Only diff' is Cloud gets a great new sword.

4: At the end of Final Fantasy 3 Kefka has the body of a God with huge angel wings, wearing a toga.

At the ends of Final Fantasy 7 Sephiroth also has become God like with
wings on his back. But the rest of his lower half is changed by the Jenova cells in him; so he looks a little diffrent then the Kefka pic does. But basically it's about the same darn thing.

I mean I love playing this game from CD to CD. I play it alot just to kill off the Wepons, Sephiroth isn't the challenge for me, it's the Wepons.

I know I'm strange but I love side quests.

The game is wounderful as is the game play and the time it takes to kick all of Shinra's butt. From the President's son Rufus to the Turks, and Professor Hojo. To me, hey.. It's ALL GOOD.

The plot is good, save yourself then save the world Cloud Strife!
I also loved all the charaters, from the Main to the villins.
My personal fav' of the good guys is Tifa Lockheart. I guess I'm a lot like Tifa in my own heart, tough on the outside but a lady at heart.

I wish I could rate this game a 10! Cause I love playing it so much!
So if you haven't got this game or played it yet, what are you doing SITTING there?! Go out and rent, buy, or borrow it! It'll be the best 4 weeks you've ever had playing a Playstation RPG game you've ever had!

Well enjoy! I know I did. ^_^
