| Suzer's Full Review: Finesse Color Care Shampoo |
Guess what? I'm having a great hair "life" because I have been using Helene Curtis Finesse Silk Protein Enriched Shampoo (Color Care). Like most people I have tried many different shampoos, from the inexpensive, Suave, Pert, and many others, and while they cleaned, some of them were too harsh for my hair. Others did not have the harsh chemicals but my hair color tended to fade. I've even tried some very costly shampoos, but didn't find the results all that different. I am very happy with my Finesse, so I'd like to tell you about my hairy experiences.
Bottling:
Finesse Color Care comes in a dark blue plastic bottle, and weighs in at 15 fluid ounces. Yes, I refuse to weigh myself, but happy to weigh the shampoo bottle. It has a convenient push-down top.
Good Scent-sations:
I absolutely love the scent of the Finesse shampoo. If Helene elected to make a cologne out of this scent I'd buy it in a heartbeat!
Some Ingredients:
Water (agua),silk protein, Mica Vitamins E & C, Tocopheryl Acetate, Sodium Chloride, Fragrance, Titanium Dioxide, formulated with UV Protectant and anti-oxidants
Directions from packaging:
Apply to wet hair. Gently work into a lather. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Repeat if you wish. They state that it works best with their color care conditioner.
Their Marketing Claims:
Smooths and improves the cuticle making every strand soft and silky. For hair that's irresistably alluring to the eye, to the touch, and best of all, to others. Isn't it nice to get noticed. They state additionally that it revitalizes color-treated hair, and recovers lost moisture. Well, I love the shampoo and it keeps the color vibrant and avoids fading, certainly cleans beautifully also of course.
My Reasons for buying Finesse:
This is difficult for me, but I have a confession to make. I have been coloring my hair since I was in my late teens. I've been a blonde, brunette, redhead, weaved (frosted, highlighted) my hair, and anything else you can think of. Whatever you do, don't ask me my natural color, because I'd be hard pressed to come up with an answer. Obviously I haven't treated my hair with TLC by risking its health with so many chemicals. Add chlorine to that as I love swimming, and uh, we have a little problem.
I purchase Finesse because I love the scent, love the clean, silky, smooth look it gives my hair. It does not fade my color, so I don't have to redo it every three weeks as I had to do in the past. I love that the shampoo has UV Protectant and anti-oxidants.
Final Thoughts:
If you are like me and, uh, choke, gulp, color your hair, I highly recommend Finesse Color Care Shampoo for color treated and highlighted hair. The scent is wonderful, the cost reasonable, can be purchased at any grocery store or drugstore. You may also want to surf over to the "flash" Helenecurtis website.
