Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros:Well written and useful information
Cons:Some chapters get repetative and drawn out.
Working harder, smarter, and faster won’t solve anything. We need to make choices from principles and take care of first things first. We need to work on not letting the good things get in the way of the best things.

This book is a how to book that reads somewhat like a novel. Steven Covey et al., address the issues of doing the best things before the good things to help develop our leadership capabilities. We need to ask ourselves how our unique strengths and gifts can help with what is needed most around us. Furthermore, when we make choices we have to deal with the consequences, therefore we need to make principle based decisions. In addition, we cannot get wrapped up in our rise to leadership. Sometimes we are busy doing good things, but we miss doing what
The authors introduce three generations of time management; reminders, plan and separate, and plan, prioritize and control. We too often get addicted to what is urgent. We need to shift our reaction and respond to what is important before responding to what is urgent. We need to make sure that what we are doing is what needs to be done. One thing that is important is to live, to love, to learn to leave a legacy. Through doing this we can work towards fulfilling four human needs and capacities. They are physical, mental, social, and spiritual. Human beings fire
within gives passion and spirit to life's journey. We need to grasp true North principles, where we are, where we want to go and how we are going to get there. We all have endowments and we need to bring them to life through creative imagination.
This is just a bit of what liew within the pages of Covey's book. Everyone should read this book. It is a must in dealing with people, personally and professionally. It is well written in laymans terms and very convicting about how we spend out time. Covey gives some excellent principles to help us be wise managers of our time.
