| idasoftware's Full Review: Fisher Price Adjustable High Chair |
13 years and 24,921 spills and splatters ago we bought my son a beautiful wooden highchair made by Fisher Price. The back was spindle with a heart cutout at the top. The tray was an extraordinarily large, deep plastic one which operated easily with one hand and clipped onto the arms of the highchair via plastic covers screwed into place.
This beautiful chair not only survived the bumps, kicks, jumps and day-to-day spills of my first born, but also his sister and, incredibly enough, his little brother 13 years later.
It seems to be as sturdy as the Eiffel Tower (has never tipped even with a rambunctious 2 yo), has a HUGE, 2" deep plastic tray for playing and eating. Easy to slide and simple to remove & reattach tray. Detach tray and unscrew arm sleeves to reveal a beautiful toddler transition chair.
I have looked to see if this one is still available in stores only to be disappointed by all the plastic variety on the market. Perhaps it is still available in specialty stores or keep an eye out at yard sales for this timeless beauty, it's well worth the investment :o)
