A Hundred Acre Woods Wonderland

"Mommy, I want my bedroom to be decorated in Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl and Eeyore." This is what my 3 1/2 year old daughter Jordan wanted after watching Pooh on tv for the millionth time and seeing Winnie the Pooh in the toy stores. So when she was about 2 years old, her room was transformed from Looney Tunes into a Hundred Acre Woods wonderland. Complete with Pooh bedding, pictures, curtains, pillows, rugs, a lamp and a ton of Pooh and friends stuffed toys.

She has Pooh and friends dressed up like the Easter bunny, witches, pumpkins, Santa Claus, you name it Jordan probably has it in her room.

Welcome to the Hundred Acre Woods

Fisher Price Baby's First Tigger was added to her Pooh wonderland over a year ago. Jordan got Tigger from her grandma to add to her bedroom. Baby's First Eeyore soon followed, Baby's First Pooh was added to her collection way before her room was transformed to the Hundred Acre Woods. Now we just need Baby's First Piglet, I'm sure she is soon to follow on Jordan's birthday or Christmas this year.

Tigger, stripes and all

Fisher Price Baby's First Tigger stands about 11 inches and is made out of a bright, well made orange fabric with black stripes. Tiggers belly is an off yellow fabric. Tiggers face is is also orange with black stripes, with a pink nose, black eyes, eyebrows and mouth. Tiggers muzzle and around his eyes are also an off yellow fabric.

His mouth, eyebrows are sewn on, so they won't pose a choking hazard to babies who like to chew on tiggers face and body.

I also like the fact that Tigger is stuffed with foam and not pellets, that could pose a choking hazard if Tigger would on stitched. Because of Tiggers wonderful design, babies, even newborns can safely play with Tigger with no worry they will choke on plastic pieces. The fabric feels somewhat like velour and is very soft to the touch. Your baby will love teething on Tigger all day long.

Jordan's adventures in the Hundred Acre Woods

"Mommy, its Tigger, yeah, I got Tigger." These are the words out of Jordan's mouth when my mom first brought over Tigger and gave it to her. A few minutes later, after kissing and hugging Tigger, I swear if Tigger was real, he would have been blue in the face, she had to go get Pooh so they could meet.

When Jordan is not carrying Tigger and Pooh around, they take up residency on Jordan's bed, along with 20 or so other Hundred Acre Woods friends. Some even sleep there at night with her.

She loves dressing them up in her doll clothes, feeding them with her play food, reading to them, and talking to them. Tigger even has on permanent lipstick. She got into my makeup one day and decided Tigger needed a makeover. I tried everything to get it off, but nothing worked.

Recommendations

I recommend Baby's First Tigger to all Hundred Acre Fans. Tigger is cute, lovable, hugable, made well and can withstand almost anything your toddler does to him. Besides not being able to get the lipstick off Tiggers mouth, he is machine washable, cleans up well, and won't fall apart.
