Over the last few months, my 2.5 year old son, Tristan, has discovered Dora the Explorer, a popular animated TV show for preschoolers that currently airs on nickjr weekdays at 10AM EST and then again an hour later. He loves watching Dora go on outdoor adventures with her friends, including Boots the monkey, her backpack and the map, just to name a few. This sneaky fox often follows Dora and her friends around and often steals their stuff, much to Tristan's delight. He loves saying "Swiper, No swiping!" along with "Oh man!", so I knew without a doubt that he'd adore this talking stuffed toy I'd found online as well. And I was right on the mark! Recommended for children ages 2 and older, the Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Friends Swiper measures approximately 10 inches in height and features a large fluffy tail similar to the one Swiper has on the show. He is primarily orange and yellow in color and is wearing blue gloves and a blue mask covering part of his face. This sneaky fox has black whiskers growing from his snout and is wearing a cheesy grin. His arms and tail are poseable, but best of all: Swiper really talks! Just press his soft, stuffed belly and he says one of three phrases: Oh man! You'll never find it now! and You're too late!. Requiring 3 "G13A" (LR44) batteries, this cuddly character is surface washable only and contains all new materials, including 100% polyester fiber and a plastic coated wire stiffener (for poseable sections). And as an added bonus, this Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Friends Swiper comes with and Adventure Collector Card featuring Swiper and listing the things this sneaky fox likes to do on the show.

~~~Play Experience~~~

Since Tristan's Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Friends Swiper (along with Talking Friends Boots) arrived just a few days before Valentine's Day, I decided these two stuffed toys would make great presents for my youngest son. Once the Day of Love arrived, I gave Tristan both characters and he seemed to love both of them equally. So now while watching the TV show on nickjr, he holds both Swiper and Boots in his lap and acts out many of the scenes. And at other times, he'll have me hold one of the stuffed animals while he holds the other, and we'll pretend play back and forth, laughing the whole time! I'm often Boots and he's usually Swiper, so he giggles in delight when I say Swiper, no swiping!. So while this Fisher Price Dora the Explorer Talking Friends Swiper only says three phrases, we've certainly gotten our money's worth from the price I paid. For this sneaky fox is sure to be one of Tristan's favorites for a long time to come.

Dora the Explorer fans of both genders are sure to love owning this talking sneaky fox. Soft and huggable Swiper is highly durable and well made, so he's sure to withstand lots of use and abuse over time. Swiper with his highly nasal voice sounds much like the TV character, so his phrases are very realistic and recognizable. And he's the perfect size for small hands to squeeze as well. My son enjoys playing with his Fisher Price Dora the Explorer My Talking Swiper almost daily, so this cute yet sly fox comes highly recommended from me. Good luck and happy toy shopping!
