| victoriasmum's Full Review: Fisher Price Cozy Fit Infant-To-Toddler High Chair |
We recently purchased the Fisher Price Cozy Fit Highchair for our little boy. At 4+ months old and over 20lbs, he was ready for some real food besides me!
The Cozy Fit Highchair is very affordable for all of the features that come with it. Compared to others on the market it is generally at least $20 cheaper. I paid $89.99cdn for mine and it was money well spent.
Assembly
When you get your highchair home you will need to assemble it, please make sure you are not in a hurry and be ready for some frustration, this thing was overall a pain to put together...purchase a floor model if you can.
Features
The Cozy Fit Highchair has 3 height adjustments which allow for comfortable feeding for Mom or Dad, depending on their height. This also enables the highchair to fit as a booster chair under virtually any kitchen table. This is easily accomplished with the pull of the red lever located in the middle front and rear of the seat legs. The base of the highchair is wide and safe but not too bulky. Each leg base has a wide flat footing to make it even more stable.
The seat of the Cozy Fit also has the option to recline the seat itself. This chair can easily be used from a young age long before baby is even ready to use as a feeding chair. There are 4 recline positions including a recline deep enough to allow for sleep. This would be perfect for baby to 'sit' and watch Mommy in the kitchen cooking or doing dishes at a fun and new height! When your baby is 4+ months and ready to venture into the fun world of solids, simply pull up on the red lever located on the top of the seat back and sit the seat up and away you go. Another great feature on the Cozy Fit Highchair is that the seat itself has 'wings' that can be flipped up or down at the push or pull of 2 levers to allow the seat back to hug the babies head, keeping it from going to the side. Again this is a great feature to allow you to use the seat earlier than other highchairs.
The seat pad is easily wipe-able and is also completely removable to allow for machine washing...this is a fabulous feature on any highchair!
Thought we have not utilized the tray on the Cozy Fit Highchair is has a large wipe-able surface area and can be placed on or taken off with one hand.
Downside
There are really only a couple of problems with this highchair, nothing to make me not recommend it though, or regret my own purchase. The assembly, which I already mentioned. The seat straps could be slightly longer to allow for bigger babies. They are pretty much just fitting my son and he is only 5 months old...big for his age yes, but not THAT big. A 5-point harness may have been better than the waist strap it comes with, I never thought a 5-point was necessary until Josh started eating his feet while I am trying to feed him. Also the seat itself when reclining moves separate form the legs, so the leg braces stay still at the sides of the seat while the seat reclines. This leaves a tiny space between the leg braces and the seat...a mess waiting to happen.
