Pros: Only toy I have found that sings Backpack's theme song, rather than humming it.
Cons: Cheap. Very, very cheap.
The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is to avoid it. It's a pain to keep up with the pieces and not going to last very long before it is broken.

Why did I purchase this? My one year old loves Backpack. She loves the song he sings, and so we searched high and low for a backpack that sang the words. We finally found him on Ebay, and after shipping, paid a total of 25.75. Whoa.
How would I describe this toy? Backpack is hard and plastic. He's loaded up with things and nick nacks too, but anything that you might need he does not have inside for you. He comes with a pair of binoculars that aren't really binoculars, a piece of jewelry that can't really be worn as jewelry, a magnifying glass that does not actually magnify, and possibly some other things that have since been lost and long forgotten. You cannot wear Backpack. You can, however, press his mouth and hear him sing my daughter's favorite song. He opens from the top, but is very hard to keep closed. He is carried by a handle that is on the snap top, and when you try to carry him he pops open nine times out of ten. His contents are very hard to fit in once taken out.
How does my daughter like this toy? She thinks the binoculars are interesting, and of course loves the song, but otherwise is bored with it. It is too hard for her to carry around with her because the snap is cheap and doesn't remain closed so it usually sits in the corner of her room where she will occasionally go and play the song, dance to it, and walk away.
How do I like this toy? I'm very disappointed. It is the only Backpack I have found that actually sings the song, but the price, which I should mention was 16.75 before shipping and handling, is an absolute joke. This toy is very cheaply made, like many other nickelodeon character toys.
Do I recommend it? If you have a child who loves singing his theme song, maybe. However, knowing what I know now, I wouldn't be comfortable spending more than 6 dollars on it.
