garritty's Full Review: Fisher Price Healthy Care High Chair
We bought this high chair for my daughter when she was around 6 months old. We researched the different kinds before we went to buy -- looking at safety, durability, etc. When we went to the store, it seemed to be the easiest to use, claiming to require only one hand to operate the tray and seat position (both vertical and tilt). It also felt the most sturdy to me and didn't have casters.
Now that I have used it for at least a year, I have figured out all of the things that I like and dislike about it.
Likes: Very easy to wipe clean. So easy in fact, that we have never removed the cover to clean it although you can if need be. We wipe it down with a Clorox wipe. It is easy to operate the tilt and vertical position -- has a handle on the back of the seat that is most handy to grab. I also like the removable inner tray that can be put into the dishwasher if it is really dirty. Then the outer tray can be wiped clean since it is flat, with no divisions.
Dislikes: The "one-hand operation" of the tray is not possible for me. My husband has bigger hands and has found that it works sometimes for him. Folding the chair up is also a problem. I can never get it to stay closed once I fold it up. The minute I try to pick it up, the legs spring back open again (not exactly locked into place but enough to knock everything around as I try to get it into the pantry). That is probably the worst part.
