| KMINER's Full Review: Fisher-Price Little People Beeps The School Bus |
This Christmas Colin received a lot of Little People toys from his Dad - they both love to pretend and make believe and Colin has been in love with the Little People since finding a video of them and their adventures.
Every kid needs a bus to play with - the types of play and creativity are limitless. So for $15.00 my husband bought Fisher Price Little People Beeps the Bus at our local Kay Bee Toy Store.
Colin loves the Little People characters, and has about 4 of their videos - so if course as he sees characters and pieces on the video, he wants them to play with for himself. The Little People Beeps the Bus is a great piece to add to any collection.
It comes with a nice yellow school bus with a lot of details. It also comes with 3 characters - Carlos, Michael and Maggie. It also comes with a small wheelchair, and space on the back of the bus for the chair to be placed.
"Children will love exploring what happens when they press down on Carlos the bus driver or Michael or Maggie in the driver's seat: lights, sounds, even the tunes Wheels on the Bus and If You Are Happy and You Know It! And as they get closer to school age, Beeps the Bus will help them imagine what it's like to ride a real one! The fold-out stop sign adds to the fun and a rear ramp helps a child in a wheelchair off to school. Requires 3 alkaline batteries (not included).
Plays the tune Wheels on the Bus and If You Are Happy and You Know It.
Press down on Carlos in the driver's seat for lights, speech & sounds.
Ages: 1-5 years." (from the little people website and literature)
This has got to be the Little People toy my son plays with the most out of all that he owns. A school bus is so easy to identify with, and with my son being 4 he is one year away from starting "big school". A school bus (and a backpack) is such a big goal for him right now in his mind that playing with the Fisher Price Little People Beeps the Bus just adds to his fun!
There are so many seats on the bus that some of his other Little People characters can join in the fun - making it all the more a worthwhile toy! The bus lights up and talks when the driver seat is pushed down (it doesn't matter which Little People person is sitting in the seat), saying the following phrases: "My wheels are r-r-r-round, My stop sign is r-r-r-red, My lights are gr-r-r-eat! ,Im r-r-r-really happy!" One of the major "r" sounds is repeated verbally in each line.
As with all of the other Little People products we own, this is a high quality, well designed item that continues to work time and time again for us. The colors are vibrant, and stay vibrant. The pieces are "chunky" enough to be functional for a young preschoolers hands. Fisher Price Little People Beeps the Bus is a frequently play piece by my son and a really good investment for us.
