The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport is one of the best toys we have ever bought for my twin 2 ½ year old boys. They have had this toy for about 6 months now and they still don’t want to play with anything else.
If your child or children love to see airplanes, this is the toy for them. My kids first became interested in airplanes by watching Jay Jay the Jet Plane on PBS Kids. Every time they are outside and an airplane goes over our house, they look up, point, and say, ‘Airplane.’ So, when we first saw The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport, we knew that this would be the perfect gift for our boys.
What does this toy do that is so great, you ask???
Well, for our family, there is one major advantage. There are enough toys for both our boys to play and not argue. Ok, I’m lying…they still argue because they each want the same airplane. But, since there are 3 airplanes that come with this airport, each boy can have a plane of his own and there is still one left over for dad.
If your kids like toys that make noise (don’t they all like this?), The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport is a good one. Each plane makes it own specific noises. My boys think this is great! There are plenty of different lights, sounds, and phrases that make this toy wonderful for my kids. They walk around the house repeating the phrases they hear while playing with this airport.
The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport has everything with it including 4 vehicles, a luggage carousel, and a toll gate. It also comes with Eddie the pilot and a taxicab driver. It is also big enough that two children can sit on either side of it and not get in each other’s way. It is as close to the perfect toy as we have found for our twin boys.
The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport only needs 4 AA batteries which are not included. I say ‘only’ 4 AA batteries because this is fewer and smaller batteries than I assumed it would take. These batteries also last quite a long time if this toy is played with regularly.
All in all, we have been very pleased with The Fisher Price Little People Discovery Airport. Our boys love it and it has provided for many hours of quiet time for my wife and I while the boys are upstairs playing by themselves. It’s a great toy for the kids and the parents! I highly recommend buying this toy for your kids if they enjoy watching airplanes or pretending to fly in an airplane.
