Today while out shopping we ran across a Little People Musical Christmas Train. I wanted to buy it for a present from Santa but Doodle would have no part in that. It was coming home with us today. 5 hours later she is till playing with it.


The Train

The train has an engine & two cars.

The engine is green with a red rail around the top. It has a white steam engine & a white front with a yellow string to pull the train along. The wheels look like a real trains wheels. The seat which is also white plays "Jingle Bells" when it is pressed down. Mr. Claus is the train's engineer.

The first car is red with a green base and white trim. It has a white side door that you can pull down and it serves as a ramp for the reindeer. Inside this car is a yellow box of water & straw for the reindeer, and it moves up & down as the train rolls.

The second car belongs to Mrs. Claus. She rides in the caboose. It is red also with a white roof. The white part of the caboose is an over that has a real door that when opened reveals ginger bread cookies.


Little People

This set has three little people.

Santa Is dressed in all his glory with a big brown bag thrown over his shoulder.

Mrs. Claus is adorable in her red outfit and white apron with tiny red spots. She wears red glasses and has a ginger bread man in her hand.

The reindeer is brown with black hooves and a white chest and tail. He has a black nose and eyes.


Important Facts

Fisher Prices recommends this for ages 1 and up.

This comes with a battery but it will need to be replaced eventually. You will need 2 alkaline "LR44" button cell batteries.

The battery compartment is kept in place with a screw. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver to remove it.

Clean with a damp cloth with mild soap. Don't put it in water!


Maggs Thoughts

Well, since she cried over an hour because she waited to buy it, and once it was out of the box she hasn't put it own id say this is a big hit at our house.

I (im the mom) think the 19.99 price tag is a bit steep but since this is a keepsake and is only available during the holiday season I can justify spending a 20 bill on something that will keep her entertained for hours.

It gets 5 stars *****.
