The Powertouch is a fantastic toy! We bought it for our daughter at age 2 and she is still loving it aged 3. It gets used fairly regularly and I would say that we are getting our moneys worth. It comes with two starter books 'School Skills' and 'Ernies Neighbourhood'. I've also bought the 'Clifford' and 'Elmos Noisy Day' books which she enjoys more then the original books as they are longer and more interactive. The pages are full of activities and are really entertaining with voices and sound effects.
There are 8 ways in which to interact with the powertouch.
1)Story- The story is read aloud.
2)Words- Each word is read individually.
3)Phonics- Sounds out how to pronounce a word.
4)Spelling- Spells out the letters in the words.
5)Find- A game where you search for certain objects or words on the pages.
6)Surprise- Can be anything from following a line on the page to selecting items in a certain order or matching items up.
7)Count- Counting objects.
8)Music- Wonderful feature! Music plays when objects are pressed.
Also I have recently purchased the Doras River Adventure book, its our families first Dora purchase and our daughter loves it.
