| sarah66's Full Review: Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart GWL15 Top Load Washer |
I like the machine and actually like the sounds it makes throughout its cycles - so unlike an American machine. It operates differently, the mechanicals that work it are unlike those in standard US made machines. It's not loud, just different.
However, I noticed that it uses so little water that occasionally not every bit of fabric gets wet - so it doesn't get cleaned. That is not because I overloaded it, it happens with regular loads.
I suspected that might be the case, so I watched a normal load go through - two twin sheets and some pillow cases - by peaking under the lid several times and saw a pillow case that never got entirely wet during the wash part. It eventually got wet in the spin cycle, so had I not been monitoring the load I would not have known the pillow case never actually got washed.
