Pros: Excellent offroad traction, works well in mud, water, sand/dirt. Onroad has impressive traction and handling.
Cons: slips sometimes on road when accelerating very quickly off line.
The Bottom Line: There isn't a tire I've found to match it, not even the BFG All-Terrain T/A. These tires have an incredible unmatchable design...unless you want the Mud King X/T

| squid1210's Full Review: Fisk Sport King A/T Truck/SUV Tire |
I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado 4X4 truck. My rear tires are Sport King A/T tires, and that is how I bought the truck. I have OE 245/75r16 on there now. I somewhat often go offroading at what few places are left near my house. The first time I really noticed that my tires had such impressive traction is when I was offroading with my friend. I was in my Chevy, he was in a Grand Cherokee. Needless to say, he got himself quite stuck in the very soft mud out in one of the fields. I however, did not get stuck in the mud. At this time, I only have about 4/32 of tread left on these tires, and also, do not have positraction in my truck (something my dad should have paid attention to when he bought the truck). Even with having such little tread left, I was still able to pull my friend's jeep out of the mud, pulling it first sideways and then up out of the holes he had dug. His engine plate was resting on the ground, and even in the soft mud, I was able to literally rip his jeep out of the mud and up onto higher ground. when we went back to where I had been pulling, I noticed that where my right rear tire had gone was nothing but a looong strip cut through the field about 7 inches down that my tire had dug up, all while dragging his butt out. That had to be what amazed me the most, because of the lack of tread I had. I also go up to NH (I am from Mass) year round, and sun or snow, I have A++ traction from the highway to the unplowed winter campground to the trails in the mountains. Also, there is very surprisingly no road noise from the tires. I have had a lot of experience with offroading and 4X4 trucks (grew up around them) and I have never seen a tire that grabs so well offroad and handles so well onroad. Now that I have 0/32 left of tread on my right rear tire (eeeeeh, burnouts) I have finally found the maker of these wonderful tires. They are made by Cavalier, or as epinions seems to think, Fisk. Cavalier is a subdivision of BFGoodrich, which relieves my curiosity as to how well the tires are constructed. www.etires.com has the Cavalier Sport King A/T tires in various sizes. I am ordering a set of 4 from a local shop I found by seting a fake order of the tires, and puting in a near zipcode, it gives an option to send it to a nearby tire center that they do business with. VERY HELPFUL!! I will be putting on a set of 265/75r16s next. I will let you know what I think of them after I have them brand new and get a chance to fully test them out. Until then, get yourself a pair, and enjoy the scenery!!!
