Pros: Relatively quiet. Easy to use. Decent (but not great) workout.
Cons: Hard to move & store. Poor workmanship in some areas. Too few difficulty levels.
The Bottom Line: Recommend this for beginners and people looking for a relatively fun workout. It's expensive for what you get. Spend $200 more and get a NordicTrak. I wish I did.

| ajax1230's Full Review: FitnessQuest Tony Little Gazelle Glider Freestyle ... |
While I enjoy using this machine, there are several
things that bother me about it.
First, as some others have noted, it is not even
close to "whisper quiet," as advertised. The
resistance pistons huff and rattle, and there are
various other squeaks and groans. This I can tolerate.
What drives me absolutely CRAZY using this is that it
slowly slides backwards over my wood floors as I work
out. The two rubber pads in the back have completely
detached from the machine, so I have to position them
precisely under the feet before each workout. At least
several times during the workout, I have to stop, get
off the machine, and repositon the pads under the
feet. I have tried placing the unit on a small area
rug, but this only exacerbates the problem, sending me
backwards at a rate that could get me across the room
in about 2 minutes. I have all wood floors in my
apartment, so I really don't have an alternative short
of going out to purchase a rubberized workout mat that
will hopefully prevent this from happening.
In addition to this indication of poor craftsmanship, the heart-rate monitor that was included stopped working within ONE DAY of use.
Lastly, I really wish there were more resistance
settings. I used to own a NordicTrak cross-country
skiing machine, which I felt gave me a better workout
and allowed me to target different areas of the body
more effectively. With that machine, you could
fine-tune the tension in MANY different combinations
and at many different levels of resistance, as opposed
to the Gazelle's 4 setting.
I do feel that I get a decent workout, but I'm a bit
disappointed with the quality of the machine give the
$450+ price tag after tax and delivery. It's much
quieter than my NordicTrak was, but not as quiet as
advertised. For those of you with hard floors, be
prepared for this VERY ANNOYING backwards motion.
I wish I still had my NordicTrak, because given the
choice, I'd use that over the Gazelle.
