You can hurt yourself!

Pros: I did like Tony's DVD and initially liked the workout.
Cons: Not worth crippling yourself! Nothing is!
The Bottom Line: I think it's a dangerous piece of equipment and it takes up a lot of room.

The Gazelle Crosstrainer turned out to be a huge disappointment to me. First, I received a defective product. I had tried for over an hour to put the footpad on and finally I realized that the metal footpad holder had been tooled incorrectly. I notified Fitness Quest through HSN. The company replaced the footpad eventually (it sat on my living room floor for two months!) However, what I noticed was the new footpad was not the proper part. It was from a different model. This was my mistake because I should have returned it right then. The only reason I did not is the tremendous weight of the product and how would I ever ship it back? I thought that I would try it. I assembled it and started using it a few times a week. In time I began having severe pains in my right hip and my right foot. I even started limping from those pains. I only realized it was the Gazelle that was injuring me when I put it in the closet for a couple of months around the holidays. All my pain in my hip and bottom of my foot subsided - it was like a light bulb going off! Here I thought I was working out and doing something great, but at the same time I was injuring myself!! I never lost any weight by using it either. After I trashed this junk, I did some research on the net. What I found out the machine was recalled for another problem and the company NEVER notified me!! I have found other reviews where people who purchased this experienced the same thing I did with hip and foot pain. Please everyone, I know the pain I was in! If you are considering purchasing one, be aware that the foot pads MUST be in alignment, otherwise you can really end up a cripple!! To me it's not worth the risk!
