This is a great shoe for virtually any climber's ability. The stiffness and sensitivity of the shoe are moderate and make good rock shoes for climbing outdoors. The sticky rubber works well for small holds and smearing. This also tends to result in dust and dirt adhering to the the rubber. They are probably not the best suited shoe for indoor climbing (hence 'good ROCK shoe'), but who has the money to buy 5 pairs of shoes to fulfill every type of climbing?.
I bought this shoe when looking for a softer sport shoe that is good for single pitch climbing. I have also used them for moderate bouldering and they seem to transition well. I like the relative feel versus stiffness. Climbing all day does not hurt as compared to some of the softer and extremely sensitive shoes. I have yet to have any issues with wear (which I have had in $150 shoes)
If you want a shoe that will work for many applications, this is a great choice. I would recommend this shoe especially to beginner and intermediate climbers as it cheap, comfortable and a great all-around shoe.
