I've had my Spires for going on a year and a half now. They've worked well for the price, but the sole has self destructed, leaving absolutely no support in the shoe, making them rather painful to climb in after a couple of hours, at least until you feet get strong. They also a have stretched at least a size and a half since I bought, so size them small!
Those complaints aside, they have climbed well in the gym, and some of the more pocketed sporty routes I've climbed. And for the money I saved they're worth it. Just know their limitations.
