About Me: I am just beginning my adventure!

Labor Day at the Flamingo!

Written: Sep 07 '01 (Updated Sep 09 '01)
Pros:Great newly remodeled rooms!
Cons:Players Club is a waste of time!
The Bottom Line: With great new rooms, a perfect location (right across from Caesars and the Bellagio), and affordable prices you'd be crazy to pass this hotel up!

We recently flew to Vegas over Labor Day. We stayed at the Flamingo and LOVED IT! They have great newly remodeled rooms with brand new furnishings and king size beds (no coffee makers), beautiful gardens filled with a wild life refuge and a wedding chapel, they have multiple pools and a water slide(some small pools are available for private reservation), quick and friendly service( I think it took five minutes to check in and you could check your account status in your room on the t.v.), and to top it all off a great location on Vegas strip(you are right next to Bally's and across for Caesars and the Bellagio)!
Everything you need is under one roof(they have Chinese, Italian, casual, buffet, and fine dining)and the price is affordable(Lindy's is from 5-10 for most items and the buffet was just 11.99). If you do stay there make sure you hit the Flamingo Room restaurant for breakfast. They have the BEST breakfast buffet and make omelets to order! We even got free champagne! Even with holiday rates we thought it was reasonable.
The only thing I didn't really care for was the Players Club, I thought it was a waste of time(They give you points and you get a dollar for every ten. The trick is you have to spend $10 bucks just to get 1 point)
If you are heading out to Vegas I would definitely look into the Flamingo. You are right in the heart of everything(Great shopping at Bally's and the Bellagio) and it pretty affordable.

Where ever you decide to stay I hope this helps you!
I would definitely recommend the Flamingo. You will love it!
