| chrisknowsbest's Full Review: Flamingo Las Vegas |
Last June was our first time at the Flamingo Hilton, and also our first time someone needed to be hospitalized while we were on vacation. The staff could not of been more helpful when we needed to call an ambulance for my father-in-law in the very early hours. They came up to my in-laws room with oxygen and took care of him while we waited for the ambulance. The care he received at the time was nice, but the really impressive part came later when my husband and I were back at the hotel and were asked by various staff how he was doing. I was shocked that anyone cared. When my father-in-law wasn't going to be released before our checkout time in the morning, they extended it until that evening at no extra charge. Because of that hospitalization, we didn't get to spend the time at the hotel that we wanted so we are going to stay there on our next visit.
One of the reasons we chose to stay at the Flamingo Hilton was the location. It is across the street from Ceasars, which has The Mirage next to it. Bally's is next to it and I believe Harrah's on the other side, you feel like you are in the thick of things.
We did have tickets to see "The Four Plaids" in the hotel and what a cute show that was. We originally got the tickets for my in-laws and us to see, but with them at the hospital (he was doing fine and her with him), my daughter and sister-in-law were coaxed into going by my in-laws so we didn't "waste the tickets", and they enjoyed it also.
I was rather hoping to get into that beautiful pool, but maybe next time.
