| mom_of_5's Full Review: Floam |
Ok Ok so we gave in and purchased floam from a major retail store. While we haven't had the problems that others have experiences (the kids were able to make it hold shapes with no problem) it bothered me that the packaging was so vague. My kid's age's range from 12-2 so needless to say while the 2 yr old might not play with the floam, there is always a chance of her getting a hold of it and I prefer to know what to do if she were to get a hold of this stuff and see how it tastes.
When we first opened it the odor was.. umm.. Overwhelming. Yet we endured it and started to play with the floam. I couldnt get over how the smell was somewhat familiar but I wasnt able to place it. It hit me today. The last time I smelled this smell was in high school when we were dissecting frogs. Formaldehyde. So lets see we now have a product designed for children in the house that smells of a toxic chemical and no way of knowing what on earth it is made of.
Am I nervous? HECK YEAH.
If you buy it I recommend washing hands Very well after messing with it and keep it away from carpet furniture and anything you don't want floam on cause once it starts sticking it sticks everywhere
