Pros: Time, Consistancy, Cost, what else matters?
Cons: Takes about 5 minutes to set up and put away.
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this to anyone, including stylists and barbers to speed up the hair cutting process.

| GLGOFFIN's Full Review: Flowbee Precision Home Hair Cutting System |
I am writing this review (actually copy, cutting and pasting it) from the "Flowbee International Haircutting System" I just did.
The reason is that, for reasons I don't understand, this product is available as a USA product, and not discontinued as "Epinions" notes that it is.
Here is the review:
I'm suprised that but one person has written a review of this product! I also don't know why this is listed as the "Flowbee International Haircutting System", maybe the cutting head is now capable of taking international voltages? I know the standard USA versions are readily available. That aside, I have used the Flowbee for 10 years now and have saved at least $2,000 in the cost of haircuts (8 per year at $25 per cut) plus the inconvience of getting an appointment and getting there and the time wasted. When I worked I needed to look very presentable as I was required, as a factory salesman, to give presentations to customers who were considering buying multimllion dollar systems from my company. I had to look good; suit, tie, polished shoes, and generally well groomed. Getting haircuts to me was time I could use for more productive purposes. It takes 10 minutes to get the Flowbee out of its box, connect it up with a vacuum cleaner (we have a central vacuum in our house so I juts plug the flowbee suction hose in the wall), cut my hair and put it away. Compare that to the time you spend on a conventional haircut. Also, the Flowbee haircuts I get are better than the ones I used to get from multible barbers I've had over the years. A Flowbee haircut is consistant; once you've played around with the various adapters that determine the length of the cut, you can use the same ones every time. I snap on one length for the top of my hair and another, angled length, for the sides of my head. We don't have any children anymore but if you do you can literally save thousands of dollars through through their hair growing years with this wonderful product. Just think of the ecology saved on gas, and global warming and all of that if everybody cut their hair at home instead of driving to a stylist/barber! The idea behind a Flowbee is simple. A cutting head, much like a small blow dryer, is intergally attached to a 8 foot vacuum hose. You attach the other end of the vacuum hose to some source of suction, typically a vaccum cleaner. The cutting head comes with several sizes and shapes of snap on attachments whose length and angle determines the length of the hair cut. Snap one on. Once configured you turn on the vacuum cleaner, turn on the cutting head and start to cut hair. The vaccum sucks the hair up straight for the cutting head to cut. In less than a minute you've cut that part of your hair. If you want shorter hair on the side of your head snap on another attachment and within a minute you're done cutting the sides. Seriously, if there were 3 kids and a husband in your family you can give them all a VERY respectable haircut in less than 10 minutes. Girls, because they're girls, will have to be broken in at an early age to the process. :^) So there it is then, the Flowbee is an excellent product. Since the 10 years I've had it it has shown no visable signs of wear. It still cuts as good as the day I bought it. I have given all my children a Flowbee for Christmas.......this is a gift that truly keeps on giving year after year. Gerry
