Sherrie Austin was an artist that I didn't know very much about. When I heard that she was going to be doing a free concert at one of the local malls in March of this year I decided to check her out. After all it was free so I had nothing to lose. I was surprised by the number of fans that had gathered at Tower Records to see her. The place was packed! She was there to promote her latest CD Followin' A Feelin'. They said that after the concert she would be autographing the CD's along with a free poster so I decided to get one. It was well worth the money I spent on the CD.

Sherrie is originally from Australia. She has a gorgeous voice and is a beautiful person. I love her accent. She is energetic, fun and you can tell she really cares about her fans.

This CD includes 10 great songs. I am extremely impressed that she was the co-writer on 9 of these songs. I especially admire singers that can write as well.

Let me tell you about each of the songs:

Followin' a Feelin' starts out with sensual lyrics "I want to feel that white hot fire burnin' in my chest. I need long, cool, wet kisses." The chorus is peppy and fun talking about taking that crazy fall, taking the chance.

Jolene is a song that was written and previously recorded by Dolly Parton. Sherrie was worried about what Dolly's reaction would be to her version. She was thrilled to find out that Dolly loved it. Jolene is about a woman begging another woman not to steal her man.

Goin', Goin', Gone is a song where someone is thinking about a love that has died. She has to leave because she knows the fire has burned out.

Somethin' Missin' in the Kissin' is a peppy, upbeat and fun song. She talks about something being missing from all the boys except one. I think the chorus is catchy.

In the Meantime is about someone with a dream to be a star but while getting there they have to live their life doing normal daily things like: making coffee, reading the paper, working, paying the bills and buying groceries.

My Brilliant Mistake is about being the wrong place and time but finding the wonder of an exciting love that turned out to be a heartache.

In Our Sweet Time is about an exciting and fun love. It's about kissing instead of watching the movie, skinny dipping as the church bells ring and maybe getting married and having some kids.

Love Melts Even the Coldest Hearts is about how wonderful love is, how it melts the coldest hearts and mends the broken parts.

Back Where I Belong is about someone that left their true love, but ended up getting them back. This is about someone who did wrong, but was glad to be able to get back with the one they love.

Time, Love & Money the chorus says "Everybody wants more time, love and money. Never satisified, no matter how much. 'cause if we had more time, love and money it would never be enough. That pretty much sums up the song.
