Pros: Beautiful views, well decorated bungalows and very good food. Gorgeous pool.
Cons: Friendly service but often not up to the 5 star standards and prices
The Bottom Line: Great for an unforgettable romantic getaway- but not for those on a budget or wanting a lot of activities.

| omkari's Full Review: Angsana Resort & Spa Maldives |
We stayed for 10 days in the Four Seasons Maldives in the month of May (may be a bit long for some). Every day was beautifully sunny, balmy and divine! We spent our days lounging by the pool, snorkelling around the island and eating a lot of good food! The atmosphere at this resort is very intimate and private, with the main occupants being quiet couples or honeymooners. If you are into diving- there is plenty to do, but aside from this activity I wouldn't recommend this resort for those who get bored easily. Whilst there were some tours and activities offered by the hotel (for example a plane ride over the atolls) we avoided most of these as they were quite pricey eg. US$200 per person for a flight ride). Coming from a non US$ economy, we also found that the prices for food and alcohol at the resort to be quite steep. We also found that the resort's staff often lacked good communication skills and experience- not what you would expect from a Four Seasons Hotel. They didn't have a spa at the time, but I believe they have finished constructing one now. We stayed in a beach bungalow with pool- which was lovely, but had no surrounding wall, so the people in the bungalow next door could see into your plunge pool area. They also have water villas that are more expensive, but we thought that the beach bungalows were better value and had a more 'island' feel. On the whole, we had a wonderful time, and we often dream of the meltingly beautiful orange coloured sunsets and the crystal clear waters...
