Pros: Inexpensive, great scent, softens feet and other dry skin, lasts a long time
Cons: People with extremely calloused or dry feet may need a heavier cream
The Bottom Line: A great foot lotion on its own or combined with the soak and a scrub of the same name. Inexpensive but works just fine!

| PattyTherre's Full Review: Freeman Bare Foot Softening Foot Lotion, Invigorat... |
I already raved about Freeman Invigorating Bare Foot Creamy Pumice Foot Scrub and now I will rave about the accompanying foot lotion.
Freeman Bare Foot Invigorating Softening Foot Lotion is a thick, creamy lotion perfect for softening feet in any season. With summer finally here, getting feet into barefoot and sandal shape has gotten much more important to me. I use the soak first, then the scrub, and finally, the lotion to keep my feet soft and looking great. Now, I just have to wait for the New York weather to catch up with my summer readiness.
The Official Word
This is from www.drugstore.com:
Helps energize and moisturize dry, flaky legs, feet, cuticles, heels and toes.
Freeman products are artfully blended with botanical extracts that help you look and feel more beautiful, so you'll feel confident simply going barefoot.
Peppermint & Plum: Natural extract of plum combined in a peppermint blend helps create the ultimate invigorating pedicure blend.
This pedicure lotion treats dry, tired legs and feet to total invigoration. Helps return flaky, dry skin on tough soles and heels to a moisture-soft feeling, while the aroma of peppermint helps invigorate the senses.
This product not tested on animals.
The Container
This is a 5.3 ounce plastic tube shaped like toes at the top. It stands on its cap so you never have to shake and force the lotion out and has a flip top cap.
My Experience
I use the foot soak of the same name every week or so and the scrub every time I shower. I then apply the lotion to my towel dried feet and ankles. I am pretty generous with the amount I use and often, quickly put on a pair of socks to seal in the moisture and softness. The lotion is a lilac color and smells beautiful. It has a strong plum smell with a light hint of peppermint that is sweet yet not overbearing. The consistency is thicker than regular body cream because the dryer areas on the feet need a thicker cream to really penetrate and soften.
If I plan to go out right after my shower, I use somewhat less lotion and allow it to dry for about five minutes before putting on my shoes. If I am staying in, I will be more generous and do the sock thing. When I take off my socks, my feet are soft and very smooth.
The soak, scrub, and lotion work wonderfully together but you can use this foot lotion without using the other products as well. It is also a fine thick hand cream and works well on dry patches like elbows.
I like that the price is low (I paid $3.29) and the product is plentiful. One tube will last quite a while even using it daily. It works well and smells great. I have tried many foot creams and will continue to try others (because I just love bath and body products) but, for my money, this product works as well or better than the higher prices ones I have used and still have in my basket of lotions, creams, and body butters.

The official Freeman website is www.freemanbeauty.com and they sell all their many inexpensive but effective products there. They also have packaged deals which save you money.
You can also buy Freeman products at most online drugstores and beauty supply sites as well as at many brick and mortar department and drugstores.
Conclusion
Freeman Bare Foot Invigorating Softening Foot Lotion leaves my feet soft and invigorated. The peppermint is enough to wake up tired feet and the lotion is a nice consistency not too thick, not too thin. The smell is great and lingers and you can use this lotion as a hand lotion or on other dry skin on your body.
The price is excellent and it does exactly as it promises it will do.
I also like that Freeman does not test on animals ever. Animal lovers like myself will appreciate knowing that.
Four stars (would be 4 ˝ if we had halves) for this economical softening foot lotion.
